  • Bonsai
I am a sucker for anything miniature: travel-size beauty products, Maurice Sendak’s Nutshell Library, Mini Cocottes from Le Creuset. So maybe that’s why I find Uncommon Goods’ Bonsai Forest so charming.

The leaves look invitingly soft, and they even change color in the fall.

I think it would be an especially lovely gift to mark a new beginning.

  • Infusion Pitcher
I know I need to drink more water, but it’s just so … boring.

Add a little fruit a la spas, though, and it’s much more appealing.

This Infusion Pitcher from Crate and Barrel makes it even easier since you can refill the pitcher without having to cut up new fruit each time. I bet a little mint and cucumber would be amazingly refreshing on these summer days.

  • Canvas
These glasses and carafes are just a few of my favorites from Canvas, a site featuring housewares and furniture sourced from artisans around the globe.

The pieces, which are made of sustainable materials, tend to be very organic in shape and color, but if you like a bit more glitz, there’s something for you, too.

  • Core Bamboo
So often eco-friendly kitchen items can lack pizzazz, but these Core Bamboo products are sure to add a cheery pop of color to any table.

Not only is the line made of organic and sustainably harvested bamboo, but the company is socially responsible, too.

I’m loving the chip and dip set (that might be because I have guacamole on the brain), but really the bowls, salad servers, and trays are so fun, it’s hard to choose.

  • Pottery Barn Laundry Hamper
Laundry just might be my least favorite chore, which is why I wait until the last possible moment to do it. It doesn’t help that the typical white plastic hamper is often the eyesore of the closet or bathroom, either.

But I can’t help thinking that if I had this French Wire Hamper from Pottery Barn, laundry would become chic—full of lavender-scented water and white sheets billowing on a clothesline.

  • Wood Sideboard
I love pieces that have character and history and look one-of-a-kind. The Vintage Wood Block Sideboard from Sundance fits the bill on all three counts.

Because it’s created from reclaimed wood, it’s forest-friendly to boot.

I think it would look particularly lovely in a large, luxurious bathroom. Can’t you picture opening the cabinets to find stacks of white fluffy towels?

  • Fire pit blog

I was fortunate enough to spend the Fourth of July at a house with a fire pit, and now I’m hooked.

In the Bay Area, nights are pretty much always cool, and having a fire allowed us to stay cozy outside, enjoying the stars and good conversation.

  • Talisman mirror
I’m always struggling to find ways to decorate my walls because I’m not a big art person.

The Talisman Mirror Collection from VivaTerra not only looks great but may just bring some good vibes into your home: The mango wood frames (which come in natural wood or whitewashed finishes) are carved to resemble ancient amulets.

  • Leather Mahogany Soy Candle
I picked up this Leather Mahogany soy candle from Kobo a few weeks ago and have been sniffing it obsessively ever since.

As the name suggests, it’s slightly masculine, but not overly so. A white musk balances the leather, which is more club chair than Western saddle—sort of what I imagine my dream library would smell like as I spun along the books on one of those rolling ladders.

As an added bonus, the packaging is lovely, and long matches are included.

  • Shell Bottles from Wisteria
Going to a spa always makes me wish I had an awesome bathroom to luxuriate in.

My dream version is spacious and white and vintagey: hex tiles on the floor, wainscoting, pedestal sink, standalone tub, chandelier, large windows to let light flood in.
