Do Flower Essences Really Work? A 4-Week Test with Lotus Wei (Part 3)

Which flower are you drawn to?

I’m on Week 3 of a 4-week test of the Lotus Wei Inspired Action elixir, a mix of five flower essences designed to inspire creativity, enhance motivation, and foster spiritual insight.

Last week, I blogged about some of the more subtle changes I had noticed since I started taking the flower essences. And while I have yet to move to India and join an ashram, I did spend last weekend unpacking those boxes.

Week 3 Results: Ultimately my biggest problem this week has been remembering to take the flower essences. The recommended dose is 5 drops, 5 times a day, but I only averaged about 3 drops, 3 times a day.

The good news is that I didn’t notice a decline in focus or productivity. This made me wonder if sticking to the prescribed dosage really mattered. So I turned again to Katie Hess, organic alchemist and founder of Lotus Wei, for some answers.

According to Hess, it takes 3 to 4 weeks for flower essences to be assimilated into your body. (This is also about how long it takes to finish a bottle and the reason behind this 4-week test). “If you’re not feeling the need for Inspired Action, you’ve already integrated the essences in your system and may be ready for a new formula,” she explained.

I examined the flowers she had presented to me when we first met and took a minute to see if I was drawn to any one flower in particular. The Hong Kong Orchid seemed enticing, so I decided to spend my last week adding Infinite Love to my life.

Pick a flower yourself to find out what you need.
