Biggest Loser Resort Opening in Malibu

I don't like to admit this too often, but I do enjoy the occasional bit of reality TV. I'm picky though; I don't pick up the remote for Survivor or Dancing with the Stars. My reality television show of choice is, without a doubt, The Biggest Loser.

I'm constantly inspired by the contestants on that show and how they all face seemingly insurmountable uphill battles for their weight loss. And almost all of them succeed.

If you're a fan, then you might remember season 3 winner Erik Chopin. Chopin, who lost 214 lbs during his season, put much of the weight back on after the show ended. However, you wouldn't have known it if you saw his brief guest appearance during the finale of the most recent season. He's svelte again and, according to the host of the show, Alison Sweeney, he has the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge to thank for his weight loss this time around.

The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in Ivins, Utah offers a boot camp style fitness program for those who are looking to start a serious weight loss journey as well as for people who just want a healthy getaway. The resort also offers a calorie-controlled spa cuisine meal plan, hiking, wellness lectures, and a full spa and salon.

And, if Utah doesn't appeal to you, the Biggest Loser Resort is currently opening its second location in Malibu, California. The grand opening is set for September 26, 2010. So now you'll have to choose between the desert and red rocks of Southern Utah and the mountains and beaches of Southern California. Doesn't really seem like you can go wrong, does it?

Now, I'm just wondering if Bob and Jillian ever make any surprise appearances? That alone would be worth a trip.
