Combine glamorous and camping, and you've got glamping! It’s now easy to go camping without cramping your style. Imagine upscale canvas lodgings that feature four-poster beds, sumptuous sheets, Persian rugs, and antique furniture — plus gourmet food, a staff of butlers, and alfresco spas. You’ll never rough it again.
On the River: The remote Clayoquot Wilderness Resort (pictured) sits on the rugged coast of Clayoquot Sound UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in British Columbia, Canada. At its safari-style The Healing Grounds spa, massage tents with cedar-planked floors face the Bedwell River estuary, and body wraps incorporate hand-harvested seaweed from the east coast of Vancouver Island.
In the Woods: At The Resort at Paws Up, a rustic-chic retreat amid 37,000 acres of wilderness in Montana, a Spa Town made up of 11 treatment tents is connected by wooden boardwalks. There, massages come with a view of wildflower-dotted meadows and the natural scent of sage and ponderosa pine.
By the Sea: Guests of Rockwater Secret Cove Resort in British Columbia, Canada can enjoy the scent of sea breezes and the sound of waves while enjoying a massage on an oceanfront bluff. In winter, treatments at the property’s Spa Without Walls take place in a tent with heated floors, a hydrotherapy bath, and a fireplace to make communing with nature even more comfortable.

Never thought of myself as "camping material", but I'd definitely do this. Luxury makes all the difference.
I'd love to have the outdoor bistro look as at the Clayoquot Wilderness Resort on our property. Very relaxing and chic!
This is also known as "glamping", and it doesn't always have to be expensive. You can stay in a yurt in North Carolina, or tents overlooking a tiger preserve in Arkansas. It's a great way to "commune with nature" and pamper yourself at the same time!
