"Many travelers looking to get away on a romantic trip for two seek out resorts with golf and spa experiences," says ISPA president Lynne McNees. "It's a natural fi t to spend quality time out on the course, and then go to the spa to unwind. Couples treatments are certainly a popular way to reconnect."
Also big among the couples-spa-goer is the chance to participate in sports together or apart. Booming in popularity are spa treatments that focus on the muscles used in sports such as golf, enabling the combination of the two interests.
"Whether it's to improve their swing or de-stress after a round, the spa off ers a variety of ways for couples to have a unique experience," says McNees.
