Got stress? I bet you do, and I also bet you would pay big bucks for 30 minutes of relaxation. Good news: That half hour of bliss can be created in your home for pennies. All you need is a little imagination to turn your bathroom into an oasis of calm.

  • Make your own bath salts by combining Epsom and sea salts along with several drops of your favorite essential oils. Display in a large jar.
  • Mist bath towels, robes, etc. with an aromatherapy linen spray.
  • Calm with candles. They smell great and instantly de-stress.
  • Open a window and relax to Mother Nature's songs. Or, grab your iPod and load up your favorite tunes.
  • Make a scrub by mixing raw sugar with honey (honey helps moisturize and calm the skin). After reaching a consistency that you like, put a couple drops of essential oil in the mix (orange smells wonderful). Microwave for five seconds and take it into the shower with you. Use your hands to slather it all over, and then rinse.
  • Hang soothing art in the bathroom -- it gives you something to focus on for enhanced relaxation. Even better: Practice deep breathing techniques while focusing on it.
