Spa at Home: Hydrating Body Oil

Get supple, smooth skin that smells like a rose with this ancient Egyptian beauty recipe from Doris Sinnathurai, spa director at the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza.
by Melissa Maccalla

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh, organic rose petals
  • 1 cup sweet almond oil (sesame or olive oils will also work)
  • Wide-mouthed glass jar with lid

Directions:

  1. Place rose petals in the jar and gently crush them to release their natural oils.
  2. Pour the oil over the petals.
  3. Put the lid on the jar and let it sit in a dark corner for a week.
  4. Strain the oil and apply to skin after bathing.
